2 Samuel 2:4

Conflict with the Philistines

5:17 When the Philistines heard that David had been designated ¹⁰  king over Israel, they all ¹¹  went up to search for David. When David heard about it, he went down to the fortress.

12:7 Nathan said to David, “You are that man! This is what the Lord God of Israel says: ‘I chose ¹²  you to be king over Israel and I rescued you from the hand of Saul.
